While I can not view the arguntrader link, the armslist one is not built on an AR-10 platform. I believe it just reflects the seller's lack of terminology knowledge. There are some AR-15 exotic calibers that could benefit from being chambered in an AR-10, but the 450b is probably not one of them. The number one reason for super-sizing the platform being having a longer COL magazine. I have never felt the 450b loadings I made were hampered by the AR-15 COL specification. It's not like Lapua makes a .45 caliber Scenar bullet for the long range 450b competitor. ;)

Just saw a DPMS AR10 in .338 federal on Guns and Ammo TV. looked cool. But this rifle is an AR15, the seller is a douche.

After i get my 260 barrel loads worked up this spring, I'd really like to get a .338 barrel and do the same. The .300 SAUM really is enticing, but DPMS will not sell just the barrel and bolt. That would finally get me over the .300 WSSM (OSSM) I worked on most of this past year, that I got rid of. Given the AR-15 mag COL limitation with it, it would actually be interesting to have an AR-10 platform barrel that was chambered for it. Then you could load longer, higher BC bullets in it and realize the accuracy that was missing in mine with it's restricted COL. Great caliber, but cramped in an AR-15 mag.

Damn, it's like eating cashews.
