WTS: Investarms Hawken Rifle Kit *SPF*

Postby MudBug » Thu Aug 09, 2012 10:11 pm

I got this about 8 years ago as a gift and never got around to building it.

It's the same kit Cabela's used to sell, you can read reviews HERE

This would be a great father/son project. Imagine building this with your son or dad this summer then using it to take a deer, javalina, or hog this fall.

I have never worked on it, it's as new still in the box.

They sell for around $370, I'm asking $250 OBO locally, if shipping we will need to work that price out. *SPF*

I have one of those. They are SWEET. Got it back around 1996. It too is an Investarms. First stage trigger is about 8 pounds and adjustable second stage can be set to HAIR trigger. You "touch" it, it fires. Literally.
You can see it on the wall behind me.

One question..... What's the caliber?
Mine's a 54 cal.

Good question... 50 Cal

I have read good things about these kits, supposedly very accurate.

Barrel measures almost 29" from end to end. Twist rate is 1:48.

Thanks Mudbug. I'm looking for something with the traditional slower twist, (1/60), to shoot patched round balls.

I believe it is complete, I have done nothing with it since I got it except look at it a couple times. I will look at the kit list and check inventory.

The barrel is bright and shiny, covered with a thin layer of whatever oil they shipped it with.

I will find a way to weigh this and get a shipping cost for you.
