Shot this buck opening morning with the new Barnes 250 TTSX in the Bowman Thumper I bought this fall. Deer came in slightly quartering left to right in heavy brush. He must have smelled me or something because he stopped at 60 yards, lifted his head up and froze. The spot where he stopped left me a small hole in the brush that exposed his neck. As soon as I had a sight picture I fired and down he went. He flopped around for a few seconds then died. No bullet recovery at that range. Muzzle velocity 2,300 FPS zeroed at 100 yards.
