My daughter’s first… no, wait! First TWO this afternoon!

Postby Smithjdsr » Sun Dec 11, 2022 6:37 pm

The first one came between us. It was small, but I was hoping she would see it and shoot. And she did. She shot the second about 15 minutes after we finished field dressing her first. She said, “ Dad, I was waiting for you… but you didn’t shoot. So I shot another one.” Well, I couldn’t see it, and if I could have seen it, I would have wanted her to get a second anyway.

About as close as you can get to shooting your first deer ! Every meal for the family will be a reminder !

Yes. True. I’ve shot my ‘first deer,’ five times, now: mine, my older daughter, my son, my daughter-in-law, and now the middle daughter. Each one is like my first again. Maybe better.
