CDS or Hold over Dots?

Red Dot? Low Power Variable? Muzzle Loader glass?
I get it, what to choose, what to choose.
Get info and talk about it here.

I have a new scope with CDS on my .30-06 and, as has been noted on this thread, I don't wholly trust it yet. I will have to shoot it out to 300 yards and record the dial settings for various bullet weights, as the 1 - 2 - 3 markings for those ranges don't seem to be spot on. Right now, I am in shotgun mode for duck season, but I will get back to checking out the scope after that.
