Lincoln Logs Rocked! Not as diverse as Tinker Toys, but still a great pastime on a rainy day in rural West Virginia. It was that or the Spiegels catalog. ;)

What? No erector set! I had the one with the little electric motor - made a windmill that did 3600 rpm. Mom was not impressed (even though I retained all my fingers).

Tinker Toys were ok til the ends of the dowels swagged down and wouldn't hold in the hubs.

Erector sets were good til the nuts and bolts got lost.

Neither of those things happened with Lincoln Logs. They always fit together, locked in place, and the pieces were too big to lose.

Lincoln Logs Rock!

I ended up launching my Lincoln Logs out of my GI Joe jeep mounted Howitzer. They made great missiles to blow up my Lincoln Log cabins....

Those sure worked better then those plastic silver missles didn't they!!!

Been digging thru my moms house over the summer, found Lincoln Log sets, Erector Sets, Match Box cars and GI Joe stuff up the wazoo (no sisters only 1 bro so nadda for Barbie). We must have been deprived as I don't ever recall no Tinker Toys  but think we have every Tonka toy ever made back then.

Yeah, we shot all kinds of stuff out of that cannon, but those little hollow plastic shells just bounced off anything save a house of cards. Got in big trouble when I tried to launch half a dozen BBs out of it. was using a tiny bottle cap to keep the BBs from rolling out of the slots where the cocking handles stuck out. When the vacuum cleaner hit the shag carpet,(my battle field), in the den they made such a racket and really set my mom off. Got my GI Joe toys AND my BB gun taken away for that stunt. Being a Latchkey kid had it's advantages and it's drawbacks.

Hey all, new guy here so here's a pic (cell phone) of my 450. It's a complete 450 carbine from Bushmaster. Put on an Ergo grip, Ace skeleton stock and a Wolff extra power buffer spring. Right now I have a Wotac 4.5-14x44 scope on UTG high rings on 1/2" risers. Soon I'll put on a P.E.P.R. mount and am shopping around for a more compact scope, liking the Vortex Viper PST but am so cheap that I'll probably go with something less expensive.

Here's some shots from the range. My 450B and my longer range gun. Howa 1500 .308 20" heavy barrel in a Bell & Carlson Tactical stock with a Falcon 6-24x56 scope on an EGW 20 MOA one piece base. And yes, I have the bipod on backward on the .308 because it actually creates a little more stable bench hold for me when I plant the bipod feet then pull it into my shoulder, less flex. ;)

I ordered the rifle length handguards for 'ol Bushy. Also a delta ring kit and triangular front cap, barrel nut. I had to grind down the gas block a bit and mill out the inside of the hand guards where the block goes. Anyway, all walnut furniture. Ready for miss piggy! I'll bet I'm the only kid on the block with one set up like this :D
