I see that Federal has added 3 new 450BM offerings, all 300 grain. It's good to see more choices.

As per my ceaseless ranting, crimped down into the cannelure. ;)

Spec says 1900fps. That actually sounds right for a 300 grainer. Is it me or doesn't that look like a roll crimp?

looks like their heavy plated Deep Curl 454 bullet (2nd from right), and if that's the case, boys, she's gonna be a game changer in performance. I have some in my mess recovered from the sand bank backstop fired from ML's, and they open up like a Barnes every time.

Hoot, sure looks that way, but need to have one in hand to verify.

I don't reload and depend on good factory ammo for hinting.. I have not had any problems with The Hornady 250 FTX but I am always looking for a "better" bullet. I will try a box of the fusion, Non-Typical and power shok? once they are in stock..

Very glad to see another major player jumping into the game. This will certainly put pressure on Hornady to up their offerings after much bad press. I have always liked federal ammo as it has always worked well at an affordable price.

Midway USA is showing it out of stock, but back order ok, so it won’t be long now.

In my ar reloading handbook from lyman they specify a light roll crimp to be used on the 450 but caution against a heavy roll crimp due to headspace issues.

I'm looking forward to a bullet that will hold up if you hit a rib or shoulder.

Yes, I see the Power Shok is in stock. I have a few 250 Hornady rounds to use for spring and summer hogs. I am really wanting to try the 300 grain Fusions when they are out.
