450 Bolt

Where can I find a 450 BM bolt?? Most places are OUT OF STOCK.

Do those "work" 100%? I see a lot of banter about certain bolts that work and don't in the 450.

I've seen talk about the early adopted .458 SOCOM bolts being a little different from one manufacturer to the next but that was a long time back. The current spec for both shows rim diameters of .473. I know that my 450b bolt works fine with .308 rims. IIRC, Tony from TROMiX weighed in on this several times. SAAMI actually lists .473 +0 /-.010 as the acceptable rim diameter range for the 450b. I've found 450b brass as little as .468 and they cycled fine in my .473 bolt.

I'm running the Leigh Defense 458 bolts with no issues.

I understand about size, but Tony from Tromix has had much to say about the shape of the bolt face and the way they are cut and that some will not feed correctly. He guarantees his bolt will work. I don't see that guarantee from many others and I have read many stories about guns not feeding with brand A and after switching to a Tromix bolt all is well. The BCG is the only part I haven't sourced and I would hate to drop $60 bucks on something that wouldn't run, y'know? There should be a "sticky" thread on bolts that work and those that didn't.
