Just go my new 50th Lyman manual. Only cast data in the new book is for a plain base 225 grain RN and a 275 grain gas checked SWC. I did receive some 275 grain SWCs with gas checks from a friend who casts along with some 260 grain plain base pills. Both are poly coated. We also ran some of my .458" 405 grain Missouri Bullets through his bullet sizers to bring it down to .452" but so far I can't find any data for a bullet that heavy. I believe the 1/16" twist of the Rhineland barrel will stabilize it. Learned something about my Rhineland barrel purely by accident. I shot some 230 grain JHPs yesterday loaded over 296 powder. Loads at 29.2 and 29.4 grains grouped 2.4" and 3.1 inches respectively at 75 yards. I decided to see how the rifle would shoot removing the "flash hider". 29.6 grains grouped five into 1.191" with a velocity of 1826 fps and 29.8 grains grouped 1.991" for 1810 fps. Definitely going to ditch the flash hider. I contacted Rhineland to see if they made, or could make a threat protector for the barrel and am awaiting an answer.
