My brake and threading are done. Something broke on the lathe while cutting the threads on the barrel. We brainstormed for ideas, so instead of whacking off an inch, he just threaded further up the barrel. So the brake is a little longer than nominal. No harm done. He hasnt got to test fire it yet. I should get it back this weekend.

A very tiring work schedule has been keeping me away from the fun stuff. Now our turkey season is upon us, and that's being derailed by work for a little bit. Will be back on track in a couple weeks to carry on with load work.

Got a little shooting in. Factory Black and the 250 monoflex are shooting the same. Gonna settle on this with the component shortage ongoing. This woods and brush load is all I need for deer slaying.

I have a 26” MGM 450 BM. I’m running 41 gr of Lil Gun with 250 gr. Bonded shockwaves at 2580 FPS. It’s a hammer. Killed bears, bucks, and a Maine Moose so far. No brake on mine. Barrel length and laminated thumb hole stocks make it pretty tame and balance perfectly. You will enjoy it.

Good group. Are you using thermal optics? Just wondering because of the duct tape target.

You are giving me way too much credit. Duct tape target because I'm cheap. Lol. I just use a square for rough sight ins and scope line ups.

Oh well. I don’t see many folks shooting thermals on their 450s except me so I just had to ask.
