Hey Sheepdawg, nice collectable. I opened a sealed can of bullseye like that two weeks ago, expected degraded powder, surprise, it looked like new. Also price on the can was $2.25. Later, Turtle 2.

Here is one more. It's a bit more modern. (1973).

For safety purposes, the powder was destroyed. We dug a post hole 18" deep and poured the 2400
Into the hole and used cannon fuse. When we set it off the stuff roared a 12 foot blue and orange flame
Out of the hole and sounded like a Jet. Pretty cool. Same thing happened with the 4895.

Don't put it in a post hole. Cut a half inch hole in a tennis ball; fill it with the powder; light it and roll it down the hall in the dorm!
My Daddy was wrong when he said: "When a man turns 60 he ought to be able to trade his testicles in on a new set of teeth." Oatmeal and soup don't sound too bad.

Those were the days as a kid when I reloaded each one of my shotshells by hand with a Lee loader kit, before I could afford a press! :P

These canisters are part of the "atmosphere" decorations in my gun room. Just thought some of you would enjoy looking at them.

I'm sure your dorm bunk mates didn't get much rest with you prowling around.
Of course we had our share of pranks like this too.

:) here's another blast from the past ;) some virgin boxes of 12 & 16ga shotshells. the two boxes of 16ga are #2's & #4's. i still have the gun those 16ga shells were purchased for, a model 12 16ga, i got from my grandfather. the browning 12 has long been gone. 8-) check out the unopenned bottles of 6-12 and Mosquitone lotions he had too.
