Black Flag at Cabela's

Postby FrankSoCal » Fri Mar 16, 2012 5:00 pm

Found out yeterday that Cabela's is no longer stocking components for 450Bush due to low sales.

Probably induced by high prices? Cabela's, Bass Pro, and that type of place always have "tourist" pricing...locals don't really shop much there for that reason. Same with the big gun ranges...we have a large one here in OKC that won't stock Hornady factory 450b rounds because of "slow sales"...could that be because they're charging $35.00 a box, plus tax = $38.06 per 20? Hello?

Funny. On their latest magazine cover, they show a picture of a 16" 450 upper. Got the mag in the mail this week.

Yup, they tell me they are anxiously waiting their next shipment, to redistribute.

Remember there was troubles with the Change-of-the-Guard, over at C-Products (the magazine folks), thus creating a parts shortage (cant ship a weapon without a magazine). Now that, that has been resolved, the shipments have already been in full swing and the folks that buy at Cabela's, will hopefully, quit biting them in the Took-Us, over the back-order promises. From what I hear, the complaints were very bad, at Cabela's and there was nothing they could do about it..

Why, I aks, is it so often problems with magazines that cause so much heartburn and heated discussion around AR platform shootin' arns??? Why can't the OEMs make their own blasted mags? Its stamped sheet metal, for cryin' out loud....

Just out of curiousity, what was the source of that information?
A Cabelas CSR? Did you happen to get their name?
I've been waiting to have the opportunity to have a CSR from anywhere
tell me what they told you. It hasn't happened.
