New gun and load

Went to the range yesterday with the new Bohman Arms Thumper. Rifle is a blueprinted 700 short action with Douglas 22” barrel. Load was 38 grains of LilGun, WSR primer, Hornady once fired case, 250 grain Barnes TTSX. Average velocity 2300 FPS. These are the first two 100 yard three shot groups with the Barnes 250’s. The paper roll got jammed up on the old Oehler 35P so I could not print the info for the shot strings, but highs were in the 2330’s and lows in the 2270’s. Most rounds were closer to 2300 +/- 20 FPS. I worked this load up from 35 to 38 grains in half grain increments and 38 grains seemed to be where it all came together. Accuracy at 36 and 37 grains was still very good, but until I got to 38 grains I did not see velocities reach 2300 FPS. Fired cases extracted easily and measured almost exactly the same as after the first firing (.4992”-.4995”). Primers looked completely normal.
