If in fact you have hornady item#45204 245gr
I talked to hornady 1-20-20
Purchased box of factory loads to compare to my handloads. Hornady recommended not to push these faster than 2500 fps. Factory loads chronographed 2200ish. Factory loads c.o.a.l. 2.235" when talking to hornady they recommended 2.245". I started on the high side with lil gun and had pressure spikes and exceeding 2500fps. Checked side by side with two different chronograph's. I settled on 33.7-33.8 gr lil gun avg 2139.4fps.5 shot string. Retention for my test was 239gr copper was shedding but still in tact.
These are just tests that work for my use only. Hope this helps. Good luck and please reload responsibly

Ok here's the scoop on the Hornady 245 Interlocks I had setting on the table. #1 I'm a novice reloader , I do it because it's fun to see what I can do. #2 our range is only 85 yards ( that's our safety bank). #3 I don't have a chronograph so I'm trying to use the velocities from the Hornady and Hodgon books. #4 everything was 4 shot groups. #5 Everything was loaded with Lil Gun using CCI BR , SR Primers(it's all I could get) and Hornady new brass. The Over All Length is 2.225 crimped to .473. #6 I was shooting a Ruger Ranch with 16" barrel and topped with a Vortex 2-7x32 scope. This is the gun I use in my closer shot areas.
Surprisingly the best group came from the lightest load ( actually had 3 of 4 rounds damn near in the same hole). All groups will put meat in the freezer and the only bad shot was pulled my me. I've heard 40 grains of Lil Gun is the load for this bullet , just not sure about pushing 2 gr above max. All and any feedback will be appreciated .

I wouldn’t push it past 40Gr of LilGun in the Ruger American Rifle 16”.
It also a 1:16” twist so your pressures are pretty up there. I too shoot that same rifle.
I’ve limited my 250 Gr FTXs and others in that weight range to 40.0 grains of Lil Gun.
