My ballistic calc says
1560 +- FPS
And 1247 FtLbs energy with a 7" drop
When zeroed @100Yds.
I stand corrected.
Sort of.
But Wildcatter vindicated my main point.
Thanx Bro!

Side note.... I'm gonna have to get a partial refund from Speedy Gonzalez. He guarannteed @ least 2000.

Hey Tex, you might want to get away from ENERGY numbers, for comparisons. They are not very accurate and can make a much lessor caliber more powerful than ours, which just ain't so. A more accurate number is represented in the "Taylor-Knockout" and if you use some of our trick bullets, you can add on, at least 25% to though's numbers..

Yuppers, keep in mind that Taylor was a professional elephant hunter/Poacher, in the mid 20th century. He didn't have the bullets we have now, which is why you can add 25% and more to these numbers. Martin Fackler MD Chief, US Army Wound Ballistics Laboratory, turned me unto this little formula, many long years ago and since, I see where all of the Biggies in the Business, use Taylor KO religiously.

I've included some back ground data, as well as a calculator.

You're going to find out why I say "Forget the book, it's all about the results"..In other words, Ft/lbs Energy sell bullets, Taylor Kills things and what you find here when you start down this path, says nothing about flight, or energy, or anything else, except, how well you chosen bullet actually kills, in comparison to other great cartridges..

Holy Frijoles! I'm surprised they slow down that much by 200 yds. Was that using the 2500 fps, or the factory 2200?

I'm running numbers on my 230 Grains FMJs with 41.5-43 Grs of Lil Gun and my Chrony results with those loads.
Here is my post on those results so far.
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8633
I'm also using a ballistics calc to speculate FPS at various ranges.
I've been running several scenarios and I gotta say..... The 450 Bushmaster ballistics are impressive. I am also comparing other calibers, weights speeds and ranges. Especially the 308, 310, 357,284,264 & 223 etc. Play with the Taylor KO.
It's interesting.
