Hello. The AR comes in many sizes and has many other options for users depending on the manufacturer and ar 308 is very good to keep. 308 ar manufacturers
There were very limited options locally and I won't even mention the retail prices. I could get my hands on a SOCOM or a DPMS with a heavy 20" stainless barrel, A-2 stock but I opted for the Sig 716 and so far I like it!

Two years ago I had an FNAR. Shot like a dream BUT was fragile. Exrractor fell off after 200-250 rnds of mil ball. FN fixed at no charge but I traded for an 450 and have never looked back. Also mags were pricey. As an added bonus I can deer hunt with my 450 In Indiana now.
My girl friend's daughter loves my .308. She shot the 12 Ga, the Bushmaster and the Sig but the Sig was her favorite. Still waiting on my scope and mount but she had no problem busting jugs with the open sights!
