I don't know about anyone else, but copper and lead both might become a precious illegal metal if the EPA continues down its path of BS. Copper is being stolen even now, from abandoned, unoccupied buildings and homes in foreclosure and even my church recently had all the HVAC copper stripped out. Lead is very close to being labeled as dangerous as asbestos. If I had the skills, I would make my backstop where I could recover as much as possible.
The way mine is set up, it will capture almost all bullets. But recovery would only take place during a rehab. And I hope that's several years down the road. I have so far, recovered about 50 pounds of lead through various sources. Most of it is very clean, pure lead. The boys, AKA The Brass Monkeys, also love picking and scavenging around the backstop for "souvenirs". They bring me quite a bit of copper lead and brass. Yes, they wash their hands and they know to be careful.... For those of you in worry-wart land.

The South Pasture gains a few new features.
The feeder should be up by Monday and the camera should be up by next weekend.

Dawg, if you need to rustle up some hunting partners, just fill that thing with Bacon Bits, and I'm sure you'll draw a crowd! :D

Here is a sneak preview of my 100 yard range. I still have to install fence on the left side and the. Two more ranch gates. Hopefully I can build a pavilion where I am standing during this picture, but for now, we will use a canopy and I will have to scrounge up a picnic table.

Out at about 30-40 yards there is still one old fence post standing. I am gonna put a close range set up right there for sighting in and for pistola use. It you look just beyond that, you can still see the table at the 50 yard line next to a white sign.

Under these cedars marks a little over 100 yards and I hope to one day build a pavilion here and benches. This location is nice because in the evenings, there is plenty of shade.
